So here's history rewritten:
Today we went to Dali's museum that he designed dedicated to his own works of art. I know the mayor asked him to, but really now, isnt that a tad bit conceited?! I think I may just be biased against him because I just don't get him. I think he's supposed to be using a lot of symbolism to create deep thoughts, but all this is just lost in translation for me. I don't get him!
For example, he made this room called the May West room which is a picture of a woman's head when you look at it through a glass, and that's where his famous luscious lips come from.
He's just chock-full of weirdness. Here's a doorway that I found kind of endearing though:
And then he had a display of a man sitting in a car that's raining on the inside. I didn't take a picture of that because I found it terribly depressing. Imagine sitting in your car and having it rain on you. So sad! Your one place of solace from lightning does nothing for you from the rain.
Then we went to Rosas to eat lunch along the beach. It's the most adorable little beach town.
And there were a lot of people who made sand art.
Cool, huh?
After lunch, we got to go on a little cruise! It was so so nice... except when I started getting nauseous. But the spray of the mist (sometimes a bit more than a spray and more like a splash) kept me from feeling too sick.
I love my camera.
